We are proud to be partnering with Parkinson's UK as our 2019 Charity Partner.
Having a charity like Parkinson's UK wanting to be part of YuleFest is a massive testament to the success that YuleFest has become.
They will be around on the festival day, getting into the community and really spreading awareness of Parkinson's and the support they give to patients and loved ones affected.
They had this to say about the partnership:
Parkinson’s UK is delighted to have been named official charity partner for YuleFest 2019. The partnership will help us to raise more awareness and provide a wonderful opportunity for us to engage with people in the local community. We totally rely on fundraising volunteers and the support we receive from YuleFest will help us continue our vital work to find a cure. Together we can bring forward the day when no one fears Parkinson’s.
about Parkinson's UK
Parkinson's UK is the leading charity driving better care, treatments and quality of life for those with the condition. Our mission is to find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson's through cutting edge research, information, support and campaigning.
Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition for which there is currently no cure, and it affects around 145,000 people in the UK.
Every hour two people in the UK are told they have Parkinson’s – a brain condition that turns lives upside down, leaving a future full of uncertainty.
Parkinson’s UK is here to make sure that people have whatever they need to take back control- from information to inspiration. Ultimately we want to end Parkinson’s. That’s why we inspire and support the international research community to develop life changing treatments faster. And we won’t stop until we find a cure.
Our work supporting people with Parkinson’s, and research to find better treatments and a cure for the condition is completely dependent on donations.
To put it simply, without the support of our amazing volunteer fundraisers, the work we do just wouldn’t be possible, and we’re very grateful for this support.
